Unveiling the Dark Secrets: The Official Trailer for Tarot

The Official Trailer for Tarot

The official trailer for Tarot, an upcoming horror film starring Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Jacob Batalon among others, has been published by Sony Pictures Entertainment. The film, which was co-written and co-directed by Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg, is based on Nicholas Adams’s 1992 novel of the same name.

The novel “follows a group of college friends who start dying in ways that are related to their fortunes after having their horoscopes read,” according to the book’s summary. They must cooperate to solve the mystery before their time runs out.”

Review of the Tarot official trailer:

That feels much like Final Destination, but with a Tarot reading twist instead of a single psychic vision. Avantika, Adain Bradley, and Harriet Slater also feature in the film. Prior to the commencement of the marketing campaign, the film—which was originally going to be released in June under the title Horrorscope (perhaps as a reference to TerrorVision?)—got a new title and release date.

When a group of friends carelessly disregards the cardinal law of tarot readings, which states that you should never use someone else’s deck, they unintentionally release an unimaginable evil that is imprisoned within the cursed cards. They encounter fate one by one and find themselves in a race against time to avoid the doom predicted by their readings.

Scott Glassgold of Ground Control, together with Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton, produced via Alloy Entertainment. Screen Gems, Halberg, and Cohen all held executive producer roles.

On May 10, Tarot is anticipated in cinemas.
