The movie, which debuted in theatres on December 22, According to Manobala Vijayabalan, also known as Film Industry Tracker, on X (formerly known as Twitter), ‘Salaar ‘enters the elite ₹700.00 crore club. It becomes the fifth highest grossing South Indian movie after Baahubali2, RRR, KGFChapter2 and 2.0.

Shankar Shanmugam’s 2.0 Tamil-language 3D science-fantasy action film created a world-wide box office collection of Rs. 723.30 crore in 2022, according to a recent study by Sacnilk.com. 2.0 is a stand-alone follow-up to Enthiran (2010) and the second installment in the Enthiran film series. It stars Rajinikanth in three roles—Vaseegaran, Chitti the Robot, and Kutti—alongside Amy Jackson as Nila and Akshay Kumar as Pakshi Rajan, who is making his Kollywood debut.

The action movie Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire is written and directed by Prashanth Neel. Along with Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju, the ensemble cast also stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
