After becoming a national emotion, “Pushkara,” a smash hit film from Tarang Cine Productions, is currently available for streaming on the Tarang Plus Ott platform.
Not only did the Sabyasachi film receive excellent reviews from reviewers, but the audience also praised it much for its compelling plot, spectacular performances by the main characters, and solid plotline.
“Pushkara” Based on Odia Novel Book
Pushkara is based on the Odia novel Nadabindu by respected writer Shankar Tripathi.
The moving tale of Nilakantha’s devotion, love, and loyalty to Sunanda is told in Pushkara. In the film, Sabyasachi plays the Puskara priest Nilakantha, with easy style, and actress Supriya Nayak plays his love interest.
According to the story, when Nilakantha and Sunanda were teenagers, they fell in love and dreamed of a wonderful future together. But casteism ultimately led to their breakup, and Nilakantha decided to follow the tradition of becoming a Pushkara—a person who swears never to marry and to aid others in finding salvation after death—instead.
After a 50-day theatrical run, the film concluded on November 12 and was made available for streaming on Trang Plus.
Surprisingly the film is still playing in a lot of theatres across the state and even outside of it in places like Coimbatore, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

The dialogue in the film was written by Shankar Tripathy, a writer, and is directed by Subhranshu Das, a former DOP.
The film features an ensemble cast in addition to Sabyasachi and Supriya, which includes late performers Pintu Nanda and Rabi Das, as well as veteran actors Asrumochan Mohanty and Choudhury Bikash Das.
