Good news for Prabhas’ fans: PVR INOX is rethinking its plan to run Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki on all of its owned and operated screens for 100% of its programming. Bollywood Hungama revealed this information, citing a trade source.

“PVR INOX realized their mistake and is currently seeking to make amends without causing harm to any parties involved. Being a publicly traded corporation, they have no intention of engaging in any form of unfair trade practices. The insider informed the entertainment portal that Salaar would receive the attention it deserves on the single screens and that all of the showcasing at PVR INOX throughout the weekend would be engaging.

According to the article, the multiplex network is considering ways to divide up the showcasing for Dunki and Salaar according to how well-liked these movies are in each region. It further stated that reservations for Friday would become available as soon as both clubs approve the PVR INOX displaying plan.

The development occurred after Salaar: Ceasefire Part 1’s producers said on Wednesday that the movie will not be shown at PVR INOX and Miraj Cinemas in the southern states because the multiplex chains are preferring the Prabhas-led commercial actioner, Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan.

According to a representative for Hombale Films, the production company that supports Salaar, PVR INOX, and Miraj Cinemas made promises to them about “equal showcasing” for both Salaar and Dunki, which they are not keeping.

“We will not be releasing in PVR INOX, Miraj in southern states due to unfair showcasing to Salaar.” They and I have been talking about it for the past two days. They went against their agreement and opened all the programs and screens just for Dunki.

The production house spokeswoman stated in a statement, “They had promised to offer equal showcasing when negotiated, but they are not doing so today.

Hashtags such as #BoycottPVRINOX and #BoycottPvrAjayBijli began making the rounds on X, the old Twitter, as soon as this development became known to the public. Salaar, which is helmed by Prashanth Neel, centers on a gang boss who seeks to keep a pledge he made to a comrade who is about to die. The gang leader causes trouble and starts a conflict with other criminal groups while doing this.
