More about Dry Day:

The film, directed by Saurabh Shukla and produced by Emmay Entertainment’s Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani, stars Jitendra Kumar, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Annu Kapoor in major parts. “We are committed to telling authentic and deeply embedded stories in our culture to diverse audiences across India and beyond.” Dry Day is a testimonial to our dedication. This coming-of-age drama, set in a tiny hamlet in India and centered on a flawed hero, ingeniously weaves a socially relevant and thought-provoking narrative via an engaging storyline. “The film is a rich tapestry of flavors and quirky nuances,” said Aparna Purohit, Prime Video’s head of India Originals. “Our journey with Emmay Entertainment has been exceptionally rewarding, and I am confident that Dry Day, our fifth collaboration, will receive immense love and appreciation from audiences.”

“With Prime Video, Dry Day marks the start of an exciting new journey for us in the space of Hindi original movies,” said Nikkhil Advani, Producer, Emmay Entertainment. “The film is a social satire presented with a hilarious tragic comedy of errors as well as a great deal of drama and emotion.” Dry Day sends a vital and timely message about alcoholism, and I feel myself fortunate to have been able to create it. Following the phenomenal success of Mumbai Diaries, our partnership with Prime Video has grown deeper over the years, and I’m excited to see how fans react to this profound tale.”
