In 2023, a number of K-dramas made a reappearance, including Sweet Home 2, Taxi Driver 2, and The Glory Part 2 by Song Hye Kyo. Netflix Renews 7 K-Dramas for 2024:

Season 2 of All of Us Are Dead

It’s going ahead! Netflix has officially confirmed that the highly renowned zombie post-apocalyptic K-drama that caused a stir on the platform is real. It’s crucial to remember that the manufacturing is still ongoing. The director of All of Us Are Dead, Lee Jae Kyoo, stated in an interview that he purposefully left room in the show for a possible second season. The franchise’s second season is expected to debut on over-the-top platforms in 2024. According to the producers, “If the first season can be seen as having presented humanity’s survival, the next season can talk about the survival of zombies.”

Season 2 of Squid Game

Despite riding the wave of the first season, Squid Game: The Challenge was not Squid Game’s sequel. Under the direction of the brilliant Hwang Dong Hyuk, the true sequel is an independent work of fiction based on the shocking conclusion of season 1. Together with intriguing newcomers like Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, and others, returning are well-known faces like Lee Jung Jae, Wi Ha Joon, and Lee Byung Hun.

Season 2 of Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Netflix is bringing back the second season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, which stars Park Eun Bin. The story revolves around an autistic lawyer navigating the ruthless legal system and trying to use her exceptional abilities to forge her own identity. With the seventh-highest viewership of any Korean cable program ever recorded, the first season was an enormous success. It became a global phenomenon and is currently Netflix’s sixth-most-watched non-English series. Because of the show’s amazing reaction, Netflix has officially renewed the series for a second season, which is set to release in 2024.

Season 2 of Hellbound

After zombie and apocalyptic dramas like All of Us Are Dead and Sweet Home became popular, Netflix launched a brand-new series called Hellbound, which went viral and attracted viewers right away. Among Netflix’s most watched series, the drama swiftly rose to the top in its first week of availability. In September 2022, Netflix officially announced that a second season of Hellbound would be produced. Even with this statement, it’s crucial to remember that a sequel to the original webtoon version of the series has not yet been released.

Season 2 of Signal

Perhaps a return to the 2016 K-drama that enthralled audiences with its time-traveling detectives brandishing walkie-talkies is imminent. The creator of Signal, writer Kim Eun Hee, has teased fans with the potential of a second season in 2024 after years of radio silence. The second season of the program is undoubtedly under development, even if a release date has not yet been announced.

Season 2 of Weak Hero Class

Weak Hero Class, a critically praised webtoon series, will soon launch its second season on Netflix. On December 4, the streaming service revealed the renewal. Park Ji Hoon, Ryeoun, Choi Min Young, Yoo Soo Bin, Bae Nara, Lee Min Jae, and Lee Jun Young are among the outstanding ensembles of the next season. The show’s first season aired in 2022. The protagonist of the narrative is Yeon Sieun, a gifted young man who attends Eunjang High School after suffering trauma from failing to defend his classmates.

Season 3 of Sweet Home

The ensemble of the K-drama, which stars Song Kang, Go Min Si, and Jinyoung in a zombie-themed narrative, is expected to return for the show’s third and final season. Song Kang’s program was shot concurrently for seasons two and three, with production wrapping up in March. The program will premiere in the early summer of next year, for fans to look forward to.
