Finally, Dhanush‘s Captain Miller trailer has been released on YouTube. Fans are very excited after seeing this trailer. Captain Miller, the much-awaited period action film directed by Arun Matheswaran, will soon be released in theaters. In addition to Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, Vinoth Kishan, Nassar, Edward Sonnenblick, and many more, the film stars Dhanush in the lead role.
The announcement from the producers that the movie will be released on January 12th has been out for a while. The film’s producers have been promoting it at the last minute lately, holding a pre-release event on January 3rd as well. The two-minute and fifty-four-second trailer gives a basic overview of Captain Miller’s universe and what to expect from the movie. In the trailer, an India under British rule before independence is portrayed. Dhanush, who shows Captain Miller, alias Easa, is a local rebel leader struggling against the colonists attempting to take over his hamlet, as was previously revealed from the trailer for the movie.
The trailer also mentions that various groups of people have varied perceptions on the figure. For instance, he is a traitor to the locals and a dacoit and criminal to the British. Dhanush’s persona goes into further detail about this, stating that how he treats someone will rely on how they treat him.
It’s also clear from the trailer that the colonists wanted to plunder some kind of treasure that the area was protecting—likely a naturally occurring mineral. The figure played by Edward Sonnenblick makes reference to the fact that mining would commence shortly after the village temple came under British rule.
