BLACKPINK’s Jennie exhilaratingly unveils her very own label OA!

After BLACKPINK‘s contract with YG Entertainment was renewed, Jennie started her own record label, OA.

Jennie, a member of BLACKPINK, has formally joined the label industry. The vocalist from SOLO makes her much-awaited debut on her own label, OA. This occurs only a few days after the K-pop group’s exclusive deal with YG Entertainment was extended. But questions about each of their particular contracts remained unanswered.

The Ice Cream singer dismissed all the rumors on social media that claimed she had made her label debut. “Hello, this is Jennie,” the singer wrote. I’ve accomplished a lot this year, and I’m really appreciative of all the affection I’ve gotten. In addition, I’m looking forward to 2024, when I go out on my own with a firm, I founded named oa. Please be really supportive of my new beginning with OA and, of course, BLACKPINK.

Jennie from BLACKPINK enters the label industry.

After YG’s contract expired earlier this year, rumors that all of the members of BLACKPINK—including Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo—were launching their own agency continued to make headlines for months. However, rumors that Kim Jennie had started her own label, called OA, first arose on December 23 KST, following the K-pop group’s announcement of their continued partnership with their debut agency. The company’s mission is yet unknown.

“OA, which stands for ODDATELIER, is a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected,” states the introduction of the official OA website. In November 2023, artist Jennie established the label.

Shortly after the abrupt spike in traffic, the website server failed. Jennie has not formally acknowledged the rumors, but a number of K-media sites have stated that she launched her own label in November. It’s interesting to note that Jennie and her dog, KUMA, were both recognized as artists on the website.

Following the internet disclosure of her label, the female band member took fans by surprise by giving them a unique Christmas present: a rendition of Zion. Sia’s Snowman and T’s Snow. The Pink Venom singer posted on Instagram, saying, “I have two winter songs that I like ready.” I wish everyone a pleasant year-end. Happy Holidays, everyone! She went on to post a heartfelt video of herself at the recording studio, giving her followers an amazing Christmas present.
