Barbie Takes Center Stage at Critics Choice Awards in 2024; Unveiling of Full Nominee List

Now available is the full list of candidates for the Critics Choice Awards in 2024. The film category candidates were made public by the organizers. The television candidates were unveiled earlier this week. As anticipated, Barbenheimer fever dominated the nominees in the film category. Greta Gerwig’s Barbie received the most nominations (18).

Barbie received nominations for Best Picture, Best Actress (Margot Robbie), Best Supporting Actor (Ryan Gosling), Best Supporting Actress (America Ferrera), Best Director, and more. Barbie has set a new record for the most Critics Choice Awards nominations received by a single film.

Closely following Barbie is Christopher Nolan’s biopic of J. Robert Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Supporting Actress (Emily Blunt), Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), and Best Director.
