With highly anticipated series like Demon Slayer Season 4, Solo Leveling, and Oshi no Ko Season 2, 2024 is set to be even more exciting than 2023, which is ending with a bang in the anime industry. Kaiju No. 8, a film adaptation of the hugely successful manga by Naoya Matsumoto, is one title that sticks out.

The narrative centers on Kafka Hibino, a kaiju corpse cleanup worker who has dreams of enlisting in the Japan Defense Force in a world overrun by hideous Kaijus. But destiny has other plans, turning him into a Kaiju in the process. A Shonen Jump treasure, Kaiju No. 8 has sold over 11 million copies.

Kaiju No. 8 release date:

The anime is scheduled to debut in the spring of 2024, though the precise date is yet unknown. This was revealed during the New York Comic Con.

Kaiju No. 8 teaser:

The first teaser generated excitement for the manga’s debut by showing glimpses of real-life situations that mirrored the locations. Fans’ concerns over the animation quality were allayed by further teases, despite the first teaser raising some doubts. The most recent teaser explores Kafka’s life following a Kaiju assault and introduces important figures such as his coworker Reno Ichikawa and childhood buddy Mina.
