According to various reports, Yash 19 will be directed by Malayalam actress-turned-director Geethu Mohandas. It was also claimed that the film would be a high-octane action thriller, with Yash taking on a whole different persona. The backdrop of the film is the Goan drug mafia. For those who are unaware, PS Mithran made his directing debut in 2018 and has since directed three movies, the most recent of which is Sardar, starring Karthi.
